My Name is Heidi Easton-Pichler. I’m an American who has lived in Austria since the fall of 1989. I’m married to an Austrian and have three children. I made my first mosaic in 2002 and am self taught since there aren’t very many possibilities to take mosaic classes in Austria. I have recently had the opportunity to attend a class in Spilimbergo at the Scuolo Mosaicisti del Friuli where I learned the traditional art of working with a hammer and hardie.

2010  has brought the opportunity to participate in a show Just Black &White with 49 other artists from Villach and abroad at the Offenes Atelier D.U.

Villach’s open art show/experience GEMMAKUN?TSCHAUN will take place again this year – May 20th to June 11th.
